About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to join their team in the mining industry in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all HR-related tasks, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and supporting recruitment and training activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and industry regulations
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain employee records and databases
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Coordinate and conduct employee training sessions
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives
  • Handle employee relations issues and provide support to managers in addressing disciplinary matters
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing
  • Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives as needed
  • Support the HR Business Partner in extracting compiling, distributing and record-keeping relating to daily, weekly, and monthly payroll and ad hoc HR reports
  • Consolidate and compile various information required for reporting purposes
  • Conduct internal audits on various HR processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Administrator or similar role in the mining industry
  • Knowledge of South African labor laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Two to four years of relevant HR administration experience

Qualifications

  • HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, HRCI-SPHR) is a plus
