Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using PHP (Laravel preferred)
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration
• Optimize application performance and propose scalable solutions
• Manage MySQL databases with efficient schema design and query optimization

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Relevant IT qualification or degree
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional PHP development experience
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of OOP and MVC architecture
  • Proficiency in Laravel or similar PHP frameworks
  • Experience with MySQL, Git, REST APIs, Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (Vue.js or React) and CI/CD pipelines
• Other Requirements:
  • Must reside in South Africa with a fibre-ready home (minimum 100 Mbps line)
  • Clear credit record may be required for certain roles
