This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operational integrity across the business`s product and stock functions.

Key

Responsibilities:

– Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations related to stock, product, and inventory accounts
– Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
– Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to ensure accurate stock movement and valuation
– Maintain audit trails and ensure compliance with internal control standards
– Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and account analysis
– Assist with continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controls
– Provide financial insights and reporting relating to product costs and stock variances

Candidate Profile:

– A BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
– Proven experience in stock and product reconciliations, ideally within a high-volume environment
– Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and systems
– High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software/ERP systems
– Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
