Job Summary
A Leading provider of a range of customer communication and document management solutions to various industries for streamlining business processes.
Role description:
Ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration, ensuring uptime of the Microsoft SQL Server environment. You will be responsible for ensuring reliability, performance, and security of database infrastructure to support business-critical applications and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities (Summary)
Database Maintenance (Index rebuilding, statistics updates, and integrity checks.)
Configuration & Optimization (Database replication, clustering, mirroring, partitioning, and data compression for Performance Tuning – SQL Profiler, DMVs, Extended Events, etc.).
High Availability Administration and Maintenance (Always On Availability Groups, SQL Server Clusters).
Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution (Fault-finding, performance tuning, resolving crashes).
Backup & Disaster Recovery Management (Implement & Monitor backup strategies & disaster recovery procedures)
Security & Compliance (Ensure adherence of Configurations to high security standards, data protection and security regulations).
Creating automation scripts (PowerShell and T-SQL)
Requirements:
5+ Years SQL DBA Experience (2012 +) with T-SQL and Stored Procedures.
Experience with Monitoring & Performance Tuning Tools (SQL Profiler, DMVs, Extended Events, etc.).
Preferred Experience: Cloud-based SQL Server solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS for SQL Server) is a plus.
Educational
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology.
A SQL Server certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator).
Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
