About the Role
The Global Procurement Manager (Shopfitting) position is a critical role within our company, specializing in shopfitting solutions. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing global suppliers for all input materials required in the manufacture of steel and timber fixtures and fittings. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute your expertise in international purchasing and import sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with reliable overseas suppliers for a wide range of materials.
- Develop and implement global procurement strategies to achieve significant cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing structures, and payment terms to maximize commercial advantage.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging suppliers and alternative materials that meet performance and sustainability standards.
- Manage the end-to-end import process including purchase orders, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and documentation.
- Collaborate with shipping agents, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and onboard new global suppliers based on financial stability, production capacity, quality systems, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with production and finance teams to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in international purchasing or import sourcing for manufacturing or construction materials.
- Experience dealing with suppliers in China.
- Strong understanding of materials used in manufacturing steel and timber Fixtures & Fittings.
- Proven record in identifying and managing offshore suppliers across regions such as Asia, Middle East, China.
- Skilled in commercial negotiations, RFQs, and supplier agreements.
- Familiarity with international trade laws, Incoterms, HS codes, and customs compliance.
Qualifications
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related discipline.
