Employer Description Company specialises in shopfitting solutions Job Description Your duties will encompass: Assist and support the Buying Department in the procurement of all raw materials, consumables, hardware, and components required by the manufacturing plant. Assist with daily purchasing of all factory requirements. Place orders accurately in line with production schedules and stock requirements. Monitor lead times and ensure timely delivery to maintain uninterrupted production flow. Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers. Obtain competitive quotations and set up tender comparisons to secure the best prices and terms. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance. Negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms, and supply agreements within company policy. Track stock levels of key consumables and raw materials to prevent shortages or overstocking. Maintain accurate purchasing records, quotations, supplier price lists, and tender comparisons. Process purchase orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery notes. Understand the companys manufacturing materials flow thru the production lines. Qualifications National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related. Skills Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in buying for manufacturing, joinery, or shopfitting sectors. Exposure to both timber and metal fabrication supply chains. Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel.
