Job Summary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that all input pertaining to payment of employee benefits are submitted and received timeously. Perform audit checks to ensure that all input received is captured correctly on the payroll system. Upload electronic 3rd party deduction schedules on a monthly basis i.e. files received from third parties. Verify and unlock salary related and bank account transactions on the SAP HR system captured by Payroll Officers. Verify and unlock overtime transactions captured by Payroll Officers and Regional HR Administrators. Capture any changes to Executive management salary detail or bank detail, in order for Manager: Remuneration & HRIS to verify and unlock. Verify and unlock authorization excess overtime hours to be captured for different regions. Draw Payroll Variance reports for each one of the 3 payrolls and do checking for variances from previous month on each different item on the payroll i.e. ut salaries, PAYE, overtime, standby, leave encashments, final payments, acting allowances, etc. Upload vendor and EFT (payroll) files as received from support service provider into Fihrst Connect Scheduler software system. Reconcile and balance vendor and EFT files according to the wage type statement drawn from the payroll. Upload files in Fihrst Connect Scheduler software in order for Manager: Remuneration & HRIS to verify and authorize for payment by Finance department. Submit signed-off printed documents to Finance. Liaise with Finance Department in respect of the following: Timeous salary payment requests as per procedures set out. o Resolve disparities between General Ledger and Vendor Accounts referred by Finance. Generate meaningful reports related to all of the above. Ensure that payroll related queries are attended to timeously and accurately. Develop and implement control systems and processes necessary for the payrolls success. Pro-actively plan, organize and monitor all activities of payroll personnel. Control the personnel filing manual and electronic systems. Assist Manager: Remuneration & HRIS in development of sound HR Practices. Monitor adherence to HR practices, policies and procedures. Ensure that the core values of the company are upheld. Co-ordinate and implement current and new staff benefits, e.g. loco, housing, salary increases, performance bonuses and annual service bonuses. Ensure annually that formal long service award functions are held twice. Prepare long service award certificate and gifts within set budget. JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE National Diploma in Payroll/ HR/Accounting (NQF6). 5 years experience in HR Payroll Administration of which 1 year must be in SAP, Payroll Accounting and Database Management and 1 year supervision of payroll staff. Valid drivers license

Train newly appointed Regional HR Administrators on SAP HR/PY. Ensures that new contracts and renewals are done monthly. Ensure letters are done on a monthly basis for long service, retirements, termination of contracts and forfeited leave to individual employees for Manager: Remuneration & HRISs signature. Provide responses to Finance department on Payroll debtors. Stop payments on Fihrst scheduler if necessary, in order for specific employees not to be overpaid. Upload rejection payments received from Fihrst Management Services on the internet via Service provider automated interface file. Ensure completeness of all newly appointed employees personnel files. Ensure processing of all terminations to third party companies e.g. Pension Funds, Medical Aids, etc. Ensure the submission of UIF applications to the Unemployment Insurance Fund offices. Process electronic final payments to terminated employees by means of special payments and authorization by the Manager: Remuneration & HRIS. Process electronic special payments in respect of leave encashments, etc. for authorization by the Manager: Remuneration & HRIS. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and legislation. Correspond and liaise with financial institutions as and when required regarding banking details, payments of salaries, bond payments and stop payments. Correspond and liaise with SARS with regard to IRP5 certificates and tax directives where difficulties are experienced, or queries received. Ensure correct data generation to all pension and provident funds in connection with payment of benefits. Resolve queries with service provider companies. Liaise with the HR Information System Specialist in executing tasks on report generation on SAP HR/PY. Serve in OHS & SCM Bid Committees as and when required.

Job Title: Payroll Manager Location: Edenvale, South Africa Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple companies, as well as our own large internal staff complement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of South African payroll legislation, best practices, and experience managing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles. The Payroll Manager will lead a team of payroll professionals and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: Oversee and ensure the accurate processing of payroll for clients and internal staff, including salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, benefits, deductions, and statutory compliance. Manage the preparation and submission of all tax returns (EMP201, EMP501, etc.), UIF declarations, and other relevant statutory filings. Proactively stay up-to-date on changes in payroll legislation and tax regulations, ensuring continuous compliance. Develop and implement efficient payroll processes and internal controls. Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Conduct performance appraisals and set goals to support team development. Resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate complex issues as needed. Software Expertise: Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Accsys Peopleware payroll software for payroll processing, report generation, and system maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related queries from internal and external stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain relationships with clients, addressing payroll inquiries and providing exceptional support. Collaborate with the finance and HR departments to ensure alignment of payroll data with overall business processes. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive payroll management experience with demonstrated leadership success. In-depth knowledge of South African payroll regulations, including PAYE, SDL, UIF, and relevant labor laws. Advanced proficiency in Accsys Peopleware software. Preferred: Relevant qualification or certification in payroll management. Experience managing payroll for multiple companies simultaneously. Skills and Attributes: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Summary

Job & Company Description: My client is a leading car rental service in South Africa with over nearly 6 decades of experience. They offer a wide range of vehicles across major cities locally and has a footprint into the SADC region. Their key services include standard rentals, chauffeur drives, airport transfers, and corporate packages. They main key responsibility of the successful incumbent will be to coordinate payroll expenses and taxes to ensure they are paid correctly and timeously. Must have experience on handling multiple payrolls. Job skills and requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Experience on Symplexity highly advantageous! Be knowledgeable about and understand new legislation impacting payroll. Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance/Payroll or related Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct payroll team Direct payroll teams workload to meet deadlines Responsible for employee relations and administering benefit plans Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner Review payroll policies and amend procedures when required Submit your application now to be considered. Job Summary

Duties will include, but are not limited to: Own the runway for both local and international payrolls including compliance with multi-country regulations and exchange nuances Navigate and manage varied pay structures including: Commission-based compensation, Fixed-term contracts & temporary staff and Permanent employees, Overtime and Standby-based compensation and Allowances across multiple business units Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure on-time, accurate payroll delivery Keep your finger on the payslip pulse maintain knowledge of changing tax laws, statutory deductions, and industry standards Employee benefits administration for medical aid, pension and provident funds, and bargaining council Champion system improvements and payroll automation where possible Provide insightful reports and forecasts to help leadership make pay-savvy decisions Education Requirements: Completed Matric (Grade 12) Relevant SAGE qualification Job Requirements and Skills: 10 years’ experience in a payroll position essential 4 to 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity essential Advanced Sage system knowledge Strong communication and reporting skills Attention to detail Deadline driven Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment Team player Ready to hit the fast lane?
