We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Application Engineer to join our Energy Management Systems (EMS) team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Power Systems Applications for Transmission and hands-on experience with AEMS – Reliance (e-terra) or equivalent platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced power system applications that ensure efficient, secure, and reliable grid operations.

Key Responsibilities

       Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Applications for Transmission (Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, Power Factor, etc.).

       Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs to understand requirements, design functional specifications, and implement customized solutions.

       Perform software development tasks including design, coding, testing, integration, and application tuning.

       Ensure successful delivery of assigned modules and adherence to project/product timelines.

       Engage with customers to address operational issues, facilitate solution implementation, and maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.

       Work within established change control and compliance protocols to ensure reliability and system integrity.

Requirements

Required Technical & Functional Skills

       5+ years of experience in customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems (EMS) preferably e-terra AEMS / Reliance.

       Proven experience in Power Systems Applications for Transmission (Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, Power Factor, etc.).

       Minimum 5 years experience with C++, Java, or other related programming languages.

       Strong working knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems.

       Sound understanding of Power System fundamentals, grid operation, and control center applications.

Managerial / Soft Skills

       Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.

       Ability to organize and lead technical discussions and client calls.

       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on real-world solutions.

       Capable of working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
