An established client in the power generation and heavy industrial sector is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Lead for a limited duration contract of 6 months in JHB North. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both Quantity Surveying and post-award contract management to join a high-impact team delivering large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. As the Quantity Surveyor Lead, you`ll be responsible for the commercial and contractual administration of complex projects , focusing on compliance, risk mitigation, financial reporting, and dispute management. The role requires hands-on involvement with NEC3 (TSC, ECC, SC), FIDIC Red Book, and bespoke contracts , particularly within environments such as coal-fired power plants, paper mills, or industrial boilers . Key Responsibilities Manage post-award contract execution, ensuring adherence to all terms and conditions Administer claims (EOT, loss & expense), variations, and compensation events Oversee cost control, budget tracking, and payment certification processes Lead correspondence and resolution of contractual disputes Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure contract deliverables are met Requirements National Diploma, B-Tech or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related Built Environment discipline Minimum 10 years` experience: 5 years in Quantity Surveying 5 in contract management Proficient with NEC3, FIDIC Red Book, and bespoke contracts Solid experience in heavy industrial or power generation sectors (boilers, mills, etc.) Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication for contract drafting and reporting If interested, please follow the online prompts and apply online.
