About the Role

Telebest, a leading financial institution based in Sandton, is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating credit risks and providing expert guidance on credit principles across the full credit cycle. With 8-10 years of experience in a financial institution, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of credit and investment risks in the financing of transactions or projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform risk gradings of Business Partners through an application of in-house credit risk tools and models and give constructive view on the output.
Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures as well as team alignment to the Credit Risk Appetite Strategy.
Responsible for the final sign-off of all risk ratings within the company, including accountability for a consistent rating approach for all entities and approval of overrides.
Prepare and position submissions at the relevant sanctioning committee and respond to questions.
Provide support, guidance and a consistent approach and interpretation of credit and investment principles across the full credit cycle.

Requirements

CA or BCom postgraduate qualification.
MBA would be advantageous.
8 to 10 years experience in a financial institution.
Knowledge and understanding of credit and investment risks in the financing of transactions or projects.
Portfolio management experience would be advantageous.
