SENIOR DAMS ENGINEER Job Description A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Dam Engineer who is registered with the DSO as a Category III APP. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and manage projects for a variety of dam facilities and associated structures, such as spillways, outlet towers, pump stations, etc., while coordinating with various other disciplines within the organization. Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to project managers for dam-related projects, including design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities. Offer project management support across various aspects, including client management, contract management, planning and execution, financial management, and more. Oversee field exploration and characterization, as well as laboratory testing of soil and rock materials. Supervise dam construction processes and ensure compliance with design specifications. Perform dam analysis and design, including seismic stability and deformation analysis; this includes evaluating earthquake ground motions, liquefaction potential, and earthquake-induced deformations. Supervise the preparation of technical reports, independent dam safety inspections, and potential failure mode analyses. Actively contribute to business development, both for existing and new clients. Ensure high-quality project deliverables. Mentor and support the technical development of junior staff. Conduct independent technical reviews of projects. The candidate should possess a high level of technical expertise and experience in supervising and training staff on investigations, analyses, reporting, and construction observation. Requirements:

ECSA Registered PrEng and APP registered with the DSO. At least 10 years of relevant experience with dam projects, including inspection, rehabilitation, and/or new design and construction.
