Key Responsibilities

• Modernise and automate legacy SQL processes and data workflows to enhance scalability, maintainability, and performance

• Own and optimise SQL routines, stored procedures, and extract logic for both operational efficiency and business reporting

• Serve as the primary Data Custodian for key business domains, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and secure access

• Improve internal and external data extract processes to support business operations and partner requirements

• Drive integration improvements between source systems and the data warehouse, with a focus on quality and long-term maintainability

• Support the evolution of the organisations data warehouse architecture, including adoption of Microsoft Fabric and star schema design principles

• Identify inefficiencies and implement technical controls, process automation, and documentation for risk reduction

• Act as the escalation point for complex production data and SQL issues

• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business teams to resolve data quality issues at the source

• Lead documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts to enable business continuity and team scalability

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SQL Server development and operations

• Demonstrated success in automating data processes and modernising legacy systems

• Proven ability to manage data governance, access control, and reporting pipelines

• Comfort working in cross-functional teams and liaising with analysts, developers, and operations

• Strong problem-solving mindset with an emphasis on continuous improvement
