Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the structuring, pricing, negotiation, and placement of life reinsurance treaties
• Define and execute the reinsurance strategy aligned to group business goals
• Advise executive leadership on market developments and capital efficiency
• Manage reinsurer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally across regions

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field
• Qualifications: Qualified Actuary, CA(SA), or equivalent (advantageous)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years in life reinsurance or insurance
  • Deep experience with treaty structuring (e.g., quota share, surplus, excess of loss)
• Skills:
  • Strong financial and actuarial modelling
  • Negotiation and stakeholder engagement
  • Commercial strategy with technical expertise
  • Team leadership across multiple functions
