Job Description
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years experience in technical buying, technical support and
order processing. - Age 25 – 30 years
- Preferably formerly from a Multinational/Global company supplying
industrial equipment. - Preferably a National Diploma Certificate in Mechanical Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors for
technical goods and services. - Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to
determine procurement requirements - Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and
timely fulfilment - Monitor supplier performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain
strong supplier relationships - Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers
- Optimize procurement costs through value analysis, cost-saving initiatives,
and bulk purchasing strategies - Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation
- Process customer sales orders accurately and timeously
- Track and communicate the status of customers orders with internal team
departments and clients - Align with finance on payment terms and credit limits
- Track backorders and delivery schedules
- Prepare an Invoicing projection and forecast reports
- Will be required to do reports for management and other administrative
duties - Give accurate and constant feedback to management
- Build good relationships with customers, ensuring customers receive the
best quality and professional service
Skills Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data manipulation and
reporting). - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Professional, emotionally mature, and customer focused
- Adaptable, innovative, and open to change
- Skilled in multitasking and problem-solving
- Strong report writing capabilities.
