Main Purpose:Join a JSE-listed insurance company as an Underwriting Administrator to support the underwriting team in Personal and Commercial Lines in Short-term insurance. Assist with policy management, compliance, and provide administrative support to enhance operations. A-grade average in Matric (maths)BA, BSc or BCom degreeBilingual in Afrikaans and EnglishExcellent academic recordStrong mathematical skillsRE5 certification2+ years admin experience in short-term insuranceExperience in an underwriting departmentProficient in insurance management systems and MS OfficeStrong knowledge of commercial and personal linesAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentTeam player

Policy AdministrationSupport underwriters with administrative tasksProcess new policies, renewals, and cancellationsReview applications for complianceMaintain policy recordsData ManagementEnter client and policy info accuratelyGather documentation for underwriting reviewsKeep records of policy changes and communicationsCustomer ServiceCommunicate with brokers, agents, and clientsRespond to inquiries about policiesFollow up on outstanding documentationCompliance & ReportingEnsure documentation meets standardsPrepare and submit underwriting reportsMonitor adherence to underwriting standards.
