- Perform cost variance analysis and report discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain work breakdown structures.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls and processes.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management review.
- Assist in financial audits and compliance checks.
- Evaluate project expenditures and develop cost-saving strategies.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Registered Professional QS (Recommended)
- Certificate in Project Management (Recommended)
- Certificate in Cost Management (Recommended)
- A minimum of 6 years` experience in project cost control within the mining industry (Required)
- Proficiency in project management and accounting software (e.g., MS Excel, SAP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of mining operations and procedures is advantageous
