Job Description
Our client is looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Industrial Relations Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in fostering positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, and managing all aspects of workplace discipline and dispute resolution. This position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships between management, employees, and unions. Minimum requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Own vehicle
- Fluent in English
- BCom degree in Labour Law or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Law or Labour Law
- Proficient in MS Office
Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Management of dispute resolution
- Consultative process between management and employees
- Compliance with labour legislation Controlling Industrial Relations Climate (all unions) Reporting all cases with financial impact to the CEO Monthly
- Industrial Relations report gathering and preparing CCMA documents
- Preparing for CCMA matters
- Representing company at CCMA for all referred disputes
- Drafting of closing arguments, notices, affidavits, letters of demand , Con/Arb objections
- Management of CCMA cases and Labour Court Referrals
- Management of disciplinary cases
- Assessing merits of CCMA and Labour Court matters and providing advise
Remuneration:
R 35 000 – R 42 000 Cost to Company, depending on experience + Provident Fund Contribution and Fuel Card
