Qualifications
- Matric
- Technical certificate or Diploma in scientific or polymer fields
- Degree in Chemistry, additives, polymers or pigments
- Formal training in use of spectrophotometric instruments and software
Requirements
- 5 years Colour Match experience in, pigments, polymers and additives used in plastic industry
- 5 years’ experience in use of spectrophotometric instruments and software tools
- Good knowledge of the raw materials used in plastic industry
- Competence in GLP with ability to work accurate and precise
Duties
- Coordinate customer samples, prioritising urgent jobs and trials this includes walk in customers with colour match request
- Develop new colour match formulation and assisting colour matchers with difficult and unusual colours
- Improve technical knowledge and reviewing product related information on new and existing raw materials
- Ensure traceability and verification
- Adhere to all SHEQ procedure, work instructions and rules
- Effective communication and team work. Timeously providing feedback on important jobs to the relevant parties
