Your duties will be included but not limited to:oPlan and monitor loads for a range of different clients,oMaintain and enforce planning procedures and practices for the company,oEnsure that planned loads are suitable for the selected carrier,oEnsure that planned loads fall within the requirements of insurer protocols,oMaintain maximum capacity on carriers at all times,Requirements and skillsoGrade 12 certificateoLogistics qualification will be advantageous.o2 years Logistics Planning experienceoExcellent written and verbal communication skillsoExcellent interpersonal skillsoProactive and independent with the ability to take initiativeoExcellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesoAttention to detailoProficient with Microsoft OfficeoOwn reliable transportoPlan loads in such a manner to avoid damage,oLiaise with Logistics Manager on the availability of carriers,oTo keep the number of deliveries per carrier to a maximum of 3 stops unless authorized by senior management,oExpedite urgent deliveries is a cost-effective manner,oCommunicate with all stakeholders in the event of changes to loads, delays, breakdowns, etc.oEnsure on-time delivery time frames are met,oInvestigate late delivery times and report accordingly,oRegular reporting to the Director on planning and logistics issues,oOversee all planners and team leaders,oPerforms other duties as assigned by senior management.
