Salary:
R18,000 R22,000 (Negotiable DOE) | Live-In Position
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Sous Chef for a luxury private wildlife reserve located in the stunning Kalahari. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled culinary professional to work in a remote, breathtaking setting while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key
Responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
-
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
-
Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal, diverse menus
-
Oversee kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations in the kitchen
-
Manage stock control, orders, and kitchen hygiene standards
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
-
Step up in the absence of the Head Chef and take initiative when needed
Candidate
Requirements:
-
Minimum 35 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury lodge or hospitality environment
-
Formal culinary training and qualifications preferred
-
Strong leadership and communication skills
-
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
-
Passion for producing high-quality, fresh, and creative dishes
-
MUST have a valid drivers license
-
Willingness to live and work in a remote location on a full-time, live-in basis
