Accountant / Financial Administration Officer (JB5788) Location: Remote (For applicants living in South Africa) Salary: R34,500 per month, Negotiable Employment Type: Permanent via Employer of Record. With a strong reputation in the local market, the business is continuing to scale and has created this role to further enhance the quality of services provided to its clients. This position plays a key role in expanding their accounting capabilities. As a team member, you will work closely with senior team members to ensure that client portfolios and client relationships are maintained accurately and with integrity. Minimum Requirements: SAIPA Professional Accountant preferred but not required, Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent. Based in South Africa with a reliable, high-speed internet connection. Minimum 35 years of relevant accounting or financial administration experience (advantageous). Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Exact, or similar) required. Key Responsibilities: Record and process transactions, including cashbook, debtors, creditors, and fixed assets. Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations with appropriate guidance and supervision. Prepare supporting schedules for annual financial statements and assist in compiling basic financial statements under supervision. Support tax compliance activities, including VAT schedule preparation, reconciliations, and quarterly VAT return submissions. Engage directly with clients to build and maintain strong, professional relationships. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the CRM system. Support the onboarding and offboarding of clients. Liaise with clients continuously to ensure customer satisfaction and ensure required information is obtained in most efficient way Plan and track quarterly deliverables for assigned client portfolios. Complete daily task sign-offs for all active projects.
