About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and revenue in the HVAC and refrigeration markets by managing and growing existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow customers within the HVAC and refrigeration markets, ensuring that company achieves the revenue, profitability, and market share objectives aligned with the companys portfolio.
- Manage and oversee all annual reviews of all strategic and major accounts in your region, in order to ascertain account status and set new mutually agreed goals.
- Train and drive your service team and accompany them on sales and service calls at customer sites.
- Supply monthly area reports on customer visits and present these to management.
- Service and monitor existing applications and projects within the HVAC (air conditioning) and refrigeration markets, calling on building owners, consultants, air conditioning companies etc.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals and tenders.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or chemical engineering or environmental science, or a related field is preferred but not essential. Previous experience having sold and serviced water treatment chemicals into the HVAC and refrigeration markets calling on building owners, consultants, air conditioning companies etc is essential for this role.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
