Job Summary
Employer Description Our client is an automotive manufacturing company Job Description You will be responsible for the following: Coordinating and overseeing health and safety functions. Identifying hazards and assessing risks, implementing safety controls. Ensuring compliance with all workplace safety legislation. Conducting safety patrols, risk assessments, and ensuring SOPs are followed. Training staff and contractors on safety procedures and handling emergency situations. Organizing and leading safety meetings, including toolbox talks and monthly health & safety committee meetings. Managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, environmental and safety audits. Leading accident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and reporting IODs. Ensuring safe working conditions for all employees, contractors, and visitors . Qualifications Degree in Safety Management or Nebosh Diploma. Nebosh Certificate and HIRA (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment) training. Skills Minimum Experience: 35 years in environmental and safety management, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or similar manufacturing environment. Safety and Environmental Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of OHS Act 85 of 1993, National Environmental Management Act, and local by-laws. ISO Standards Knowledge: ISO 14001 (2015) and ISO 45001 (2018) standards. Incident Investigation: Knowledge and experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis Benefits Medical Aid Provident fund
