Are you a skilled Boiler Operator looking to take your expertise to the next level? Our client is looking for a reliable and safety-focused professional to join their operations team. In this critical role, youll ensure the efficient and safe operation of their boiler systems, supporting smooth production and helping maintain their commitment to operational excellence.

Minimum requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Technical or trade certification
• Valid Boiler Operator License (as required by state or local regulations)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating industrial boilers, ideally in ethanol or any other chemicals
• Working knowledge of PLC or DCS control systems a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Required skills:

• Operation and monitoring of high- and low-pressure boilers
• Routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of boiler equipment
• Knowledge of steam systems, pumps, valves, and pressure controls
• Boiler water testing and chemical treatment
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Recordkeeping and documentation of operating data
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Attention to detail and adherence to operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and reporting skills
• Time management and ability to handle shift work
• Understanding of energy efficiency and system optimization

Remuneration:

R 12 000 – R 15 000, depending on experience + Overtime (if needed)
