KAROO VILLAGE LOOKING FOR A SOUS CHEF ? About the RoleAs Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in our kitchen, supporting the Head Chef.? Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Chef with daily kitchen managementSupervise, train, and mentor kitchen staffOversee food preparation and presentation to hotel standardsEnsure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulationsAssist with menu planning, stock control, stock taking and orderingMaintain high standards of cleanliness, workflow, and efficiencyStep into the Head Chef role during their absence? Minimum Qualifications & RequirementsFormal culinary qualification (NQF Level 45 / Professional Cookery or equivalent)Minimum 35 years experience in a professional kitchenAt least 2 years in a senior / supervisory role, preferably as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous ChefStrong understanding of food costing, portion control, and stock management?
