Letsitele: Agronomist (Letsitele)

About the Role

A skilled Agronomist is sought after to join our team in a research and development role, utilizing their expertise in plant physiology, microbiology, and scientific methodology. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in agriculture, preferably with a focus on citrus and subtropical fruit trees, as well as sugarcane.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development projects related to agronomy and horticulture
• Collaborate with the team to implement and monitor plant growth and health
• Perform hands-on work in orchards, utilizing knowledge of plant physiology and microbiology

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Plant Sciences or Agricultural related field
• 5 years experience in agriculture, preferably with research and development
• Familiarity with plant physiology research, microbiology, and scientific methodology
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English required
• Valid driver’s license and own transport essential

Qualifications

• Completed BSc degree in Horticulture/Plant Sciences or Agricultural related field
