Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Delivers basic quality patient care
- Always adheres to Patient`s Rights
- Prevents and reports Medico Legal risks
- Patient records and registers meet legal requirements
- Control of stock and equipment in accordance with Hospital policy
- Identifies and addresses continuous Professional Development (CPD) needs
- Provides learner support to learners and new employees
- Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards and complying with infection prevention and control policy
- Quality client care principles maintained
Requirements:
- Register with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse
- Prior experience in Theatre as an Anesthetics and/ or Recovery Nurse will be an advantage
- Willingses to work shifts in accordance with requirements of the unit
- Ability to identify, prevent and report medico-legal risks and adverse events within unit
- Basic knowledge of stock control principles
- Knowledge of the Scientific Nursing Process
- Sound knowledge of nursing activities and procedures as per scope of practice
- Display a team approach by participating actively and cooperatively with team members
- Maintain respectful work relationships and interpersonal effectiveness
- Displays a concern for excellence in achieving results
- Demonstrates good judgement and decision-making skills
- Maintains a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the value of the customer. Exhibits full responsibility for own work outputs
- The ability to identify and demonstrate company values
