Job Description

Seize this opportunity to join Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a values-driven Company that cares for its people unconditionally. Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited. Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore. The successful applicant will report to the Miner or nominee. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate. Code 08 (B) Drivers Licence. EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to): Completion of a relevant, approved training programme. Advantageous: 6 months practical TMM experience. Advantageous : 6 months practical Mining/Engineering experience (depending on department appointed in). DUTIES (including but not limited to): Operate the vehicle assigned to him/her in a safe manner in order to load, transport and offloading of blasted material without damage to the vehicle. The incumbent will be responsible for operating the machinery allocated to him/her in such a way that material is supplied safely and within time without damage to the machinery. Responsible for all activities under his/her control regarding safety. Ensuring that all Codes of Practice and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to. Operate the mining equipment to achieve production requirements. Operate and control various types of mechanical equipment and machinery. Continuously observe/monitor component performance against standards to identify any sub performance/non-conformance or deviations, and report to Supervisor. Report breakdowns / damages timeously to the Miner and control room operator. Take care of assigned vehicle. Filling and levelling of roadways. Ensure safe and timeous loading, transporting and off-loading of blasted material and parking of vehicle according to Standard Operating Procedure. Identify loose rocks, request assistance and bar down the rock. Selection will take place according to the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Recruitment Operating Procedure. Consideration will be given to individuals who align to the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Values. The successful candidate will be appointed on the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine Conditions of Employment, which includes being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
