Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at Greys Endoni HR Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial statements, as well as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
Assist with internal and external audits and provide audit documentation.
Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Provide financial analysis and reports to management.
Support strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Professional qualification (SAICA, SAIPA)
35 years relevant accounting experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in Afrikaans and English
Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
Analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and MS Excel
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (if applicable)
