Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Housekeeping Manager (or Executive Housekeeper) for a prestigious luxury game lodge located in the North West Province. This role requires a dedicated and experienced individual with a strong background in lodge operations and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping department, ensuring rooms and public areas meet 5-star standards at all times

• Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain high levels of performance and service

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and staff accommodation for cleanliness and maintenance

• Implement and maintain housekeeping policies, procedures, and inventory control systems

• Manage laundry services, including coordination of guest and in-house laundry

• Ensure all guest requests and needs related to housekeeping are responded to promptly and professionally

• Maintain strong communication with all departments to ensure seamless operations

• Monitor and control housekeeping supplies and costs effectively

• Uphold lodge sustainability and eco-conscious housekeeping practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a luxury game lodge environment

• Proven track record in managing housekeeping teams and operations

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Strong eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards

• Ability to work under pressure in a remote, fast-paced environment

• Computer literate with knowledge of housekeeping software and stock control

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required

This is a live-in position offering a negotiable salary based on experience, qualifications, and current salary level.
