Family-founded business with interests in retail and property investments are seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Accounts & Administration Officer to oversee our accounting functions and provide leadership in day-to-day administration. The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, ensure compliance, streamline administrative operations, and support management with data-driven insights and control.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance*Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.*Oversee monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and trial balances.*Process supplier invoices, payments, and manage cash flow.*Handle VAT, PAYE, and statutory returns.*Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.*Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax consultants.Administration & Operations*Supervise and support administrative staff.*Ensure smooth running of office operations and internal communication.*Manage contracts, insurance policies, and company documentation.*Support HR functions such as payroll processing, leave management, and staff records.*Oversee procurement and supplier relationships.Requirements*Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration.*Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.*Strong working knowledge of Pastel / Sage / QuickBooks or similar systems.*Excellent Excel and reporting skills.*Good understanding of SARS and labour compliance.
