About the Role
Gijima Holdings’ Modern Workplace Service Line is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our Agile delivery service line, you will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, delivering outcomes-based projects, and ensuring high-performing teams deliver quality results. With a proven track record of coaching high-performing teams and managing complex stakeholder expectations, we’re looking for an expert who can drive continuous improvement and excellence in our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming
- Ensure the pod operates as a high-performing, self-organizing team
- Coach the team on Agile principles and continuous improvement
- Protect the team from distractions and scope creep
- Maintain sprint velocity and burndown tracking
- Own the delivery rhythm: ensure sprints start and end on time, outcomes are clearly defined, and acceptance criteria are met
- Work with Lead Engineers to break down customer requirements into deliverable sprint goals
- Track progress against sprint commitments and escalate risks early
- Ensure all deliverables (technical work, documentation, knowledge transfer) are completed to quality standards
- Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams or pods
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Lead in technology delivery environments
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (PSM, SAFe, etc.)
- Deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Proven track record of facilitating high-performing Agile teams
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Monday.com)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
