About the Role:

As a Tailings Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of tailings management – from concept design and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, construction support, and closure planning. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled engineers and scientists, while also interacting directly with clients on complex, high-impact projects.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and mine waste management systems
• Perform geotechnical and hydrological assessments
• Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
• Conduct site investigations, inspections, and audits
• Liaise with clients to develop tailored, practical solutions
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance processes
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering (or related field)
• 5+ years of experience in tailings engineering, ideally within a consulting or mining environment
• Strong understanding of TSF design, dam safety, and regulatory frameworks
• Skilled in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Slide, FLAC, PLAXIS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Willingness to travel for site visits as required
