Job Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Service Diesel Engine Specialist (Heavy Equipment and Vehicles in the mining industry). The Diesel Engine Specialist will be responsible for diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction, while working as man on-site at the customer premises.QualificationsSpecific engine knowledge required: Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, CATExperience in underground field service work – preferably 5 years+Red Seal Trade Certified as Diesel Mechanic or relevant fieldMedically fitAt least 5 years experience working on diesel engines of mining equipment and heavy vehiclesHealth and Safety Strong troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of preventive maintenance techniquesExcellent customer service and communication skills as representative of the employer customer siteAbility to work independently and in a teamEffective self-management and performance ownershipAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesTechnical certification (Red Seal) is a non-negotiable requirementWilling to work afterhours and be on call when necessaryProficiency in both Afrikaans and EnglishWilling to relocate
