About the Role
Hire Resolve is urgently seeking a Fleet Manager to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a key member of our logistics industry client’s team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of their fleet, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Drivers timesheets: collect at the end of the shift, analyze loads and standing time
- Update faults on board in the workshop daily
- Truck decal and cleanliness inspection
- Monitor Drivers:
- Monitor driver PDP
- Query poor performance from drivers
- Load performances to be recorded on a spreadsheet.
- Liaise with the workshop regarding the status of trucks
- Monthly reports
- Employing new drivers
- Do inspections on trucks after work has been done
- Test trucks after maintenance has been done
- Dispatch loads to clients (around 200 loads per day)
- Schedule trucks with workshop and dispatch for maintenance
Requirements
- Code 14 driver’s license
- Experience in driving trucks
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Must have experience in fixing trucks or at least looking at truck maintenance
- Fleet management
