Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a highly experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Manager to join the team at a luxury boutique hotel based in Ballito. This role requires a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a solid background in 5-star or boutique hotel operations, committed to delivering exceptional service and leading a dynamic team to new heights.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Minimum of 4 years F&B management experience within a 5-star hotel environment
-
Hospitality degree or diploma (preferred)
-
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
-
Strong leadership and HR background, with the ability to train, manage and discipline staff professionally
-
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Opera, and Micros
-
Traceable written references and contactable referees required
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
-
Manage all beverage and food cost centres within budget
-
Monitor cost of sales and implement improvement plans as needed
-
Handle all beverage orders and inventory control
-
Collaborate with Head Chef to monitor and control food costs
-
Present annual F&B budget forecasts and manage guest experience costs
Operations:
-
Uphold the highest brand standards across all F&B offerings
-
Maintain hygiene and safety practices for guests and staff
-
Oversee F&B service delivery and ensure all offerings are aligned with guest expectations
-
Design and develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team
-
Provide regular operational feedback and reports to senior management
Marketing & Guest Experience:
-
Develop and execute innovative guest experience plans and budgets
-
Stay informed of international F&B trends to enhance guest satisfaction
-
Ensure appropriate ambiance is maintained across all F&B areas
-
Manage guest feedback systems and monthly F&B audits
Human Resources:
-
Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of F&B staff
-
Conduct on-the-job training and implement skills development programmes
-
Set and monitor KPIs, and provide performance reports to hotel leadership
-
Promote a positive, productive, and respectful working environment
