About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Mpumalanga. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel-powered equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with the farming team to ensure efficient operation of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements
Requirements
- Trade tested Diesel Mechanic
- At least 5 years’ experience in the position of mechanic post
- Sound knowledge of Agricultural Equipment and on mechanical machinery operation and maintenance
- High level of energy with a positive can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Strong record keeping skills
- Strong management and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Valid drivers’ license
