About the Role

The SAMRC/Wits Rural Public Health and Health Transitions Research Unit (Agincourt) is seeking a Qualified Enrolled Nurse to participate in several vital roles, including participant recruitment and assisting in realising the vision of the Unit. The appointed individual will be based at the main office and report directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct household visits for Echo sub-study participants
Recruit study participants for the portable MRI study
Consent study participants into the study
Perform echocardiograms on study participants
Adhere to SOPs
Perform eligibility checks for study participants
Maintain participants’ confidentiality both on and off duty
Scheduling of appointments
Present daily progress reports to Field Supervisor and Project Manager
Respond and resolve data queries as specified by the Project Manager
Communicate routinely with the Project Manager and Research Manager
Perform fieldwork activities as required

Requirements

Diploma in General Nursing
Registered with The South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Minimum 2 years relevant nursing experience
At least 1 year’s experience in a research environment
