About the Role

The Protection Officer role at Seriti Resources is a critical position responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, employees, contractors, visitors, and facilities in operations. As a key member of our security team, you will be accountable for overseeing the deployment of security staff, maintaining ethical standards, and conducting investigations into security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that security personnel carry out their duties in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Conduct security parades, inspect guardhouses and security equipment, and report any deviations.
Maintain positive communication within the security department and ensure professionalism.
Share relevant information with security staff, including daily safety bulletins, monthly talk topics, inspection feedback, DMRE visit feedback, and task risk assessment controls.

Requirements

Registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) – Minimum Grade B
Valid Firearm competency certificate
Minimum 3 years of uninterrupted service within Protection Services/Security or similar role
National Advanced Certificate/Equivalent (2 years)
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level 4)

Qualifications

Registered with the PSIRA – Grade B certification
Valid Firearm competency certificate
