About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Electrical Engineer Substation Design to support the engineering, configuration, and delivery of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substation projects. You will be involved in all stages from conceptual design to detailed engineering, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review substation electrical designs and drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection layouts.
- Support the design of HV/MV equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, busbars, earthing/grounding systems, and protection systems.
- Conduct calculations for short-circuit levels, cable sizing, load flow, protection coordination, and earthing/grounding.
- Develop technical specifications, design reports, bill of quantities (BOQ), and engineering documentation.
- Work closely with civil, structural, and protection teams to ensure design integration.
- Provide technical support during equipment procurement, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site installation activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
- Experience in substation design (HV/MV/LV) for utility, industrial, or EPC projects.
- Good understanding of protection systems, grounding, insulation coordination, and substation components.
- Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Eplan, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
