Contract Type: 3-Month Limited Duration Contract
Project Location: Newcastle
Rate: R15,000 – R20,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Job Purpose
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician for a 3-month project in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installations, maintenance, and fault-finding in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on electrical installations
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and electrical safety standards
• Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe condition
• Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on site
• Complete work within project timelines and quality standards

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (Trade Test Certificate – Red Seal preferred)
• Valid electrical certification and compliance
• Minimum 3-5 years’ electrical experience (construction/industrial environment advantageous)
• Sound knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work on site
• Willingness to work away from home (non-locals accommodated)

Additional Advantage
