About the Role

HotelJobs is seeking a highly skilled and creative Namibian Head Chef to join our team for the launch of our new 5* luxury lodge in the eastern Zambezi region of Namibia. As an integral part of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional fine cuisine experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Manage kitchen operations and ensure seamless service delivery
Lead a team of chefs and hospitality staff to achieve outstanding guest satisfaction
Develop and implement menus that showcase local flavors and international cuisine
Maintain high standards of precision and cleanliness in the kitchen
Collaborate with the hotel management to create new dishes and promote the lodge’s culinary brand
Work closely with suppliers to source fresh ingredients and manage inventory

Requirements

Minimum of 5 – 8 years experience working within 5 star lodges / top awarded establishments
Proven culinary creativity and innovation with excitement for fine cuisine
Strong decision making, organisation & leadership skills
Proven background in staff management and ability to recruit, train and motivate staff to ensure a satisfactory experience for all guests
