Stellenpak, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, serving a niche market segment in the fruit industry, is looking for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join the team.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring continuous compliance with industry standards and regulations related to registrations, phytosanitary requirements and food safety standards. The role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality assurance.

• Ensure that all registrations (packhouses, farms, etc.) are verified and compliant with phytosanitary standards and other relevant regulations
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits (e.g., BRC, SIZA, FSMA, Costco, GG COC, PPECB, SOLAS, Tango Label)
• Conduct monthly GMP inspections
• Ensure that accurate daily document control and quality assurance processes are followed
• Provide ongoing food safety induction and internal training on procedures, records and work instructions
• Efficiently manage and resolve customer complaints and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Ensure accurate traceability of products from source to end-point, along with market verification checks
• Maintain documentation by reviewing, updating and translating procedures, work instructions and records
• Handle problem-solving in daily operations related to compliance and food safety

• Relevant qualification in food safety/science or relevant experience in food safety, preferably with fresh produce
• Previous experience in packhouse facility will be advantageous
