Job Summary
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant educational qualifications in languages or related fields.
- Previous experience as a teacher, facilitator, or within a student residence environment.
- Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Background in working with learners through teaching, mentoring, or youth leadership roles.
- Familiarity with coaching life skills such as communication or conflict resolution, considered advantageous.
- Valid first aid certification.
- Capability to handle emergencies, conflicts, or challenging behavior with composure and fairness.
- Ability to effectively interact with learners, parents, and staff.
- Flexibility with working hours and adaptability to varying responsibilities.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage learners’ schedules, including activities like waking, meals, and bedtimes.
- Monitor learners’ physical health and provide necessary medical assistance.
- Oversee and manage staff members effectively.
- Coordinate course schedules, activities, and assessments.
- Deliver engaging and hands-on sessions to promote active learner participation.
- Organize group activities, discussions, and roleplay scenarios for real-life simulation.
- Assist in implementing holiday programs and academic excellence initiatives.
