About the Role
Hire Resolve, a prominent recruitment agency, is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring all financial aspects of construction projects are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Manage and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Conduct site measurements to accurately assess quantities.
- Prepare and review tender documents, including bills of quantities.
- Monitor project expenses and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide ongoing financial reporting and forecasting on projects.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers for pricing and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and project specifications.
- Assist with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Participate in project meetings to address budgeting concerns and financial strategies.
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CCS, WinQS).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor
