About the Role

Hire Resolve, a prominent recruitment agency, is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring all financial aspects of construction projects are handled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Manage and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Conduct site measurements to accurately assess quantities.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Monitor project expenses and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing financial reporting and forecasting on projects.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers for pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and project specifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Participate in project meetings to address budgeting concerns and financial strategies.

Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CCS, WinQS).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor
