The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day- to- day operations of the cleaning teams across multiple sites. This includes ensuring high standards of cleanliness, staff supervision, client satisfaction, stock control, scheduling, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, highly organized, and customer- service driven. REQUIREMENTS: Supervise and manage all housekeeping staff, including team leaders and cleaners Ensure cleaning services meet client expectations and contractual obligations Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure service standards are met Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and staff rosters Handle recruitment, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping staff Address and resolve client complaints or service issues promptly and professionally Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order stock as needed Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Prepare and submit operational reports to senior management Provide hands- on support when necessary, particularly during staff shortages or emergencies Maintain good communication with clients, staff, and management Ensure proper handling, usage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment Transport staff between sites, if required ( valid driver s license and PDP advantageous) QUALIFICATIONS; SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Matric ( Grade 12 ) or equivalent Minimum 3 5 years experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, preferably in a commercial cleaning company Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment Valid driver s license (PDP advantageous) Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Hands- on problem- solving approach High attention to detail and quality control Strong verbal and written communication skills Fluent in English; proficiency in Afrikaans is an advantage Able to work under pressure and manage multiple sites/ tasks simultaneously Honest, trustworthy, and professional Customer- focused with strong interpersonal skills Tech- savvy or able to use basic digital tools for scheduling and reporting
