About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department at a luxury 5-star lodge in Sabie Sands. This live-in role combines leadership of housekeeping operations with occasional front-of-house duties, making it ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional. Our client offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced housekeeping professional to take ownership of a luxury lodge department while contributing to exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the housekeeping department in its entirety, including staffing, stock control, ordering, rotation, supervision, and quality control
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, attention to detail, and service within guest rooms and lodge areas
- Assist the Front of House team when required, including check-ins/check-outs, activity bookings, and responding to guest requests
- Maintain smooth day-to-day operations while mentoring and developing housekeeping staff
- Uphold lodge standards and ensure consistent guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience managing housekeeping operations in a luxury lodge or 5-star hotel
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and service standards
- Ability to assist with front-of-house duties when required
- Background in spa therapy or previous front-of-house experience is advantageous
- Professional, reliable, and guest-focused
- Ability to live and work in a remote lodge environment

Salary & Benefits
- R9,400 per month
- Live-in position with 36 days on, 12 days off
- Furnished single room with en-suite bathroom (employee provides own linen and toiletries)
- 3 meals per day
