Pietermaritzburg: Financial Accountant (Fixed Term Contract) posted by Pronel Consultants

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team for a fixed term contract starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant with a strong background in a manufacturing environment.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Immediately available and based in Pietermaritzburg.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with management to provide accurate financial insights.
