About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Polokwane. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting, as well as providing strategic support to executive management in driving hotel profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and fairness of accounting records, in line with applicable reporting standards and Group Finance SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Manage and maintain accounting records
- Process all financial data (invoices, journals) in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare monthly management accounts and executive summary, detailing variances against prior year, budget, and forecast
- Reconcile cashbooks/bank accounts and process payroll including medical aid and pension funds
- Communicate with various departments regarding their expenditure and prepare annual budgets
Requirements
- Proficient on SAGE Evolution & SAGE Intacct
- Advanced Excel skills
- Opera and Micros knowledge will be advantageous
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting standards (IAS, IFRS)
- Strong knowledge of South African Tax/VAT laws and hospitality industry regulations
- Ability to collaborate with the team and work independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles or equivalent (Preferred)
