Port Elizabeth: Chartered Accountant (SAICA) – Fixed Term Contract posted by Headhunters

Our Client in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a Chartered Accountant to their team – based in Port Elizabeth.

Noted this is fixed term contract position of 4 – 6 months.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)] qualification (essential).
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (preferred).
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Exposure to a manufacturing or automotive environment (advantageous).
• Willingness to collaborate across international teams and time zones.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Creditor Reconciliations: Assist in resolving long-outstanding unreconciled items with both local and international vendors, with a specific focus on unvouched receipts (GRNI).
• General Ledger Reconciliations: Support an investigation and clean-up of various general ledger reconciliations.
• Foreign Creditors: Support the foreign creditors team with the documentation of a new process and also be responsible for executing detailed work to review, correct, and align historical transactions with current requirements for managing foreign creditor transactions.
• Audit preparation: Assist in preparation and execution of the year end audit requirements.
